Happy Halloween!
The Rust Halloween event is upon us! We've released a patch containing lots of spooky features, enabled the Trick or Treat event, NPC Mummies and a surprise.

This update brings an elevator for easy travel between floors of your base, A real life Rust chair that gives you an exclusive in game chair too, The Spacesuit skin for the Hazmat outfit, changes to roads and added trails as well as the usual balancing and optimisations

Elevator


The Elevator is a new deployable object that allows you to easily travel between floors in your base. Simply place an Elevator on the ground floor and then stack additional Elevators on top of that to add floors.

Once you power the Elevator by plugging in a power source at the top of the shaft you can use the Up and Down buttons to move a floor at a time or directly to the top or bottom of the shaft. This month's update brings fishing villages to purchase boats including the new kayak blueprint, a storage monitor for use with the Rust+ app, some changes to electrified items and other improvements and optimisations.


Kayak and Paddle
The Kayak and Paddle are two new craftable items that will allow you to take to the seas in a more primitive fashion.


Once crafted, the Kayak can be placed in the water (similar to the Sunburn DLC boogie boards). Once deployed, you can sit on the Kayak and use a Paddle to move. LMB will paddle left and RMB will paddle right, so to travel forward you’ll need to alternate between left and right paddles. You can also paddle backwards by holding the back key (S by default) and paddling to slow down or reverse.

We've added a mixing table to create teas which provide time limited boosts as well as other items to craft, conditional roof tiles, a wooden barricade and an armoured passenger module for the vehicles along with various other fixes and improvements.

Mixing Table


The mixing table is a new deployable that lets you mix items together to create new items. Ingredients must be placed in the correct order and quantities that match the chosen recipe.


The mixing table is primarily used to mix berry recipes into a range of new tea items, but it can also be used to create explosives.

Surfs Up
The Sunburn DLC is our second premium DLC for Rust, including 15 new summer themed items for you to enjoy with your team. Gear up in some swimwear, take to the seas, relax by the pool, get into a water fight and take some photos to remember the summer!

Just like the Instruments DLC everything included in this pack (except for the custom underwear) can be used by anyone, even if they haven't purchased the DLC. Make sure to craft some tubes for your friends!

Custom Underwear
We've added the ability for you to change your underwear as part of this update so you can swap out those grungy undies with some bright summer styles. You'll notice a new icon next to your player avatar in the Inventory where you can select from the available options.
